No, really, it was tons of fun! I even got a chance to win some stuff for once!

The Human Highlight of Most Anime/Manga Conventions: Cosplayers!

Okay, so my personal opinion MAY be slightly biased, but I think that the hard work that cosplayers put into their outfits, makeup, hair work, and just about everything else to get the mannerisms, posing, and accessories right is well... staggering!

Of course, I'm also an avid photographer, so having people happily posing in cool outfits is definitely a plus for me!

Walking, Photography, and A Day of Fanime!

Shortly after having made it through the pseudo-hell that is registration, I finally got around to the convention itself! In many ways, it was like Anime Expo... just smaller. :)

One of the first things I did, was to go and see what was in the Artists' Alley, Game Rooms, and Exhibitors' Halls:

Attending Fanime Con 2008! Woot!

Fanime con is a convention I used to attend, but hadn't in a while. This Memorial day weekend, I was able to attend thanks to a timely reminder from a co-worker and thanks to the generosity of my wife!

It was alot of fun and I spent a total of around 13 hours straight at the convention!

Revisiting Site Design... Again!

Looks like whenever I think I've got the design to a place I like it, I find that I no longer like it anymore! So, after some looking around, I decided to use the Pixture theme to revamp the site. In doing so, I also decided... since I'm already using the Content Construction Kit, I might as well go the extra mile and use the Content Template module to make the information a bit prettier!

Little did I know that I would get so much more! Not only am I able to manage the CCK content, but other module output as well! Sweet!

Eeek! Anime Conventions Around The Corner... Time To Touch Up Your Makeup Skills!

It seems that every year, around the same time, I have visions of going to Anime Expo and cosplaying. However, I have several things stacked against me:

• I can't apply makeup any better than I can draw! ;_;
• I can't sew to save my life! x_X
• I have the grace and acting ability of a rock. @_@
• I have no spare time!!! !_!

However, what little time I do have, I spend it gathering bits and pieces of interesting information. Today, I found this interesting video on phantasmagoria makeup. Some might call it gothic style of makeup, so it might be applicable to the gothic lolita cosplayers out there!
