Something Funny... and with a bite!

I recently started reading a manga series called "Rosario+Vampire". It's a love comedy with alot of the typical boy meets out of this world girl and gets into alot of trouble, but ends up surviving and acquiring a small harem of girls that want to be his.

At first blush, it seems like the genre has been over done, but I found the manga to be enthralling and I being a big fan of vampires, I was hooked.

However, the Anime version doesn't disappoint either!

Granted, the story line between the two do not match up, however, definitely worthwhile to pursue! I know I'll be keeping an eye out for Moka-san during Anime Expo 2008!

Favorite Character So Far: Rubi-san!

So far, my favorite character, from a design perspective has got to be Rubi-san. She's got quite a few things going for her, in my book:

• Magical Wings-on-demand (which can slice and dice)
• Use of Nature(tm)'s magical energy
• Really cool outfits that are skirt/bodice combinaions
• Ends of being the Headmaster's #2

Sure, they had a rough start, at first, but she turns out to be a very reliable character in the series... I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some cosplayers playing Rubi-san!
